April 23: The World Book Day-2013 is Being Celebrated Today

Today World Book Day is being celebrated in all over the world. This day is also known as International Book Days. First time World Book Day was celebrated in the month of April 23, 1995 and this day was organized by the United Nationals Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO). UNESCO is a Non-Government Organization which was officially established way back on 04 January 1922 in United States of America.

The main purpose of celebrating World Book Day is to promote the habit of publishing, book reading and as well as copyright. Around 100 countries celebrate this day under the supervision of UNESCO. Although this is the era of internet and some others facilities that were not available before but despite of this the importance of books cannot denied. The knowledge that can gain from the reading of books cannot be gained from any other source
