India Reached the Final Beating Sri Lanka

India has qualified for the final of ICC Champion Trophy 2013 beating Sri Lank comprehensively. The second semifinal was played between Sri Lank and India today in which India beat Sri Lank easily. India won the toss and elected to field first. The condition was over cast and Indian bowlers took full advantages of it. Sri Lanka started really badly they could not face Indian bowling attack. The wickets of Sri Lank were falling on regular intervals. Only DPMD Jayawardene and Mathews performed well Mathews made 51 and Jayawardene could make 38 runs. Although they did not loss all wickets but scoring run rate was so slow therefore Sri Lanka could make only 181 runs in 50 overs. R Ashwin took 3, Sharma 3 and Kumar 1 wicket.

In reply the target of 182 was really easy task for Indians because their batsmen were already in very good form. The player of the tournament Shakar Dhawan once again performed really well he made 68 from 92 balls. Sharma 33, Virat Kohli 58. India chased the target in 35 overs easily and they lost only 2 wickets. Sri Lank had good bowling attack but could not give good performance. Thus India beat the Sri Lanka in second semifinal.

India has reached in the final where they will meet the home side England. England also performed nicely throughout the tournament. Both the teams have done well in the tournament so it is expecting that the final will be so much interesting and tough for both the teams.
