India Beat South Africa in ICC Champion Trophy Opening Match

India beat South African in the opening match of ICC Champion Trophy 2013. India playing first put huge score of 331 runs in 50 overs. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan started beautifully. They provided 127 runs partnership for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma made 65 and Shikhar Dhawan made splendid 114 runs. In the end of innings Ravindra Jadeja played outstanding knock of 47 runs in just 29 balls. India gave the target of 332 to South Africa.

Rayab McLaren was the most successful bowler of South Africa who took 03 wickets but he was so expensive. Longwabo Tsotsobe gave 83 runs and Rory Kleinveldt 81 in 10 overs respectively.

In second innings the start of South Africa was not good at all as they lost early wicket in shape of Colin Ingram who could make 6 runs only. Hashim Amla the great player of South Africa also could not play long inning. Two wickets were fallen at the score 31 after that Robin Peterson and the Captain AB De Villiers made the partnership of 121 runs.  Two run out due to excellent fielding of Indian players came back India to game once again. Ryan McLaren also played well and fight till the end. South Africa was all out on 305 runs and thus India won by 26 runs. Indian bowler presented comparatively good performance and due to this India beat strong side of South Africa.

The second match will be played between Pakistan and West Indies tomorrow on 7th June 2013. The match will start at 01:00 PM according to Pakistani time.
