Chennai Super Kings Beat Mumbai Indians with 48 RunsThe first Qualifier match of IPL was played between Chennai Super Kings with Mumbai Indians in which Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians with 48 comprehensively. The toss of the match won Chennai Super Kings and elected to bat first. The openers of CSK gave a wonderful start to their team. Michael Hussey started proceedings of CSK kings innings alongwith Murli Vijay. Vijay got out making 23 runs in 20 balls but Michael Hussey continued his batting with Suresh Raina. Both the batsman played really well throughout the innings and remained not out till the end. Michael Hussey made 86 from 58 and Suresh Raina made 82 from 42 balls. Chennai Super Kings put a huge total of 192 in 20 overs for the loss of just 1 wicket.

In reply, Mumbai Indian had shaky start as the opener Aditya Tare got out early making 7 runs. Dwayne Smith was playing nicely he made very quick 68 runs from 28 balls but on the other hand the wickets of Mumbai Indians were continuously falling down. No batsman except Dwayne Smith could perform well. The bowlers of CSK played vital role for winning. Mumbai Indians could make 144 runs.
