Jobs in Directorate General of Immigration & Passport 2017

You are hereby intimated that federal government has announced various jobs in Directorate General of Immigration & Passport, Islamabad. Well educated, hardworking and career oriented are invited to submit their applications before last date. Vacancies have been announced for the head office and sub offices across the country in all four provinces. If you are interested to get government job in immigration & passport then you need to apply before expiration of due date. Last date for submission of applications forms alongwith necessary documents as mentioned at the end of this post is declared as 13th March-2017. Application received after due date will not be entertained. Application has been provided at the end of this post.

Directorate General of Immigration & passport commonly known as DGIP is the department of Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, Government of Pakistan. This department is responsible to look after the issues and problems of Pakistani citizens. Furthermore, passport and visas are also being issued by this department. The Headquarter of the department is located at Islamabad and regional offices are found in every city of the country. This department often needs services of educated people. Therefore, advertisements are usually published in the well-known newspapers. This is an important department and salaries alongwith other fringe benefits are being offered to the employees therefore, people are always found for job placements in DGIP.

At presently, various vacancies of Assistant Director, MRP Technical Officers and Data Entry Operators are advertised in newspapers. It is pertinent to mention here the jobs offered are on contract bases. The staff will be appointed on contract based for the period of three years under the contract policy. The period of contract appointment will be extended as per requirement of the department. Services of appointed staff can be regularized on satisfactory performance. However, codal and procedural formalities will be adopted while regularization the service of said staff.

How to Apply:

Interior Minister, Government of Pakistan has directed to the officers of DGIP to make appointment purely on merit. Therefore, it has unanimously decided that appointments will be made through Pakistan Testing System (PTS). So you will have to submit application form alongwith other necessary documents before closing of date at 3rd Floor, Adeel Plaza, Fazal-e-Haq Road, Blue Area, Islamabad. The candidates working already in government / semi-government and organization need to submit their application through proper channel to get benefit.

Application received due date will be rejected. Written test will be conducted by PTS and only qualified candidates will be called for interview. After that appointments will be made of selected candidates after obtaining medical certificate from Medical Board.

Documents Required:

Some candidates submit application form only therefore, their applications are being rejected. You also need to attach your educational documents alongwith application form. Application form can be downloaded on the official website of PTS. The detail of documents to be attached with application form is depicted below:

  • Attested certificate of Matriculation.
  • Attested certificate of Intermediate.
  • Attested degree graduation (if have)
  • Attested copy of National Identification Card.
  • Attested copy of domicile of relevant district
  • Attested copy of certificates and diplomas.
  • Experience certificates.
  • Other documents (if any)
